Meet the HEA Team

Ron Henriksen

Ron Henriksen grew up in Houston and fell in love with aviation while attending Sam Houston State University, where he graduated with a degree in Mathematics. After spending fourteen years as a corporate pilot, Ron started a telecommunications company which grew to 300 employees and 25,000 customers. Recognizing the business opportunity to build a much needed airport on the west side of Houston, he began construction of Houston Executive Airport in 2005. The airport opened August 6, 2006. Ron is also president of Austin Executive Airport and Chairman of the Board of Logix Communications. He is an ATP pilot; an FAA-rated Flight Engineer, and holds a Boeing 727 Type Rating.

Andrew Perry, A.A.E.

Andrew Perry is the Executive Director of Houston Executive Airport. Mr. Perry is an airport executive with more than 13-years of experience in airport management. He brings his passion for aviation and broad business experience to his position as Executive Director for Houston Executive Airport and Vice President of Development for Austin Executive Airport located in Austin, Texas.

Perry joined the HEA team in March 2006 to direct the construction and development of the 2000-acre airport. In this position, Perry is responsible for all aspects of the airport’s design, construction, marketing and management.

A native of Missouri, Perry is an Accredited Airport Executive (A.A.E.), and has managed airports across the Midwest. Perry holds a Bachelor of Science in Aviation Technology with a minor in Business Management and a Master’s of Science in Aviation Safety from Central Missouri State University. He is an accredited member of the American Association of Airport Executives and holds a private pilot's license.

Drew Coats

Drew Coats with the aviation law firm Coats & Evans, P.C. is the airports spokesperson, a pilot and the chairman as well as president of the Houston Aeronautical Heritage Society, a local non-profit organization dedicated to the restoration and operation of the 1940 Air Terminal Museum at William P. Hobby Airport. Mr. Coats is a recent past president of the Houston Aviation Alliance.
